It is worth noting that it was Kemal himself who distributed the property of the Armenian victims to the families of the assassinated three Pashas as compensation. This is a point that Kemal’s fans in the West often overlook. In their eyes, the Young Turks are executioners and Kemal is a hero, but in fact there is a clear thread of transmission from the Young Turks to Kemal. Kemal was an outstanding military strategist and politician, but he was indeed a fascist. His legacy directly led to the instability of the Republic of Turkey today. Perhaps only after the fascist regime of the Republic of Turkey is destroyed, Kemal will receive a fair evaluation, instead of being portrayed as an immaculate idol as he is today.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the world needs a high quality production miniseries about the Armenian genocide and Operation Nemesis. 8-12 episodes on HBO with the same intensity and authenticity as the Chernobyl series.

Another perpetrator who escaped justice was Mehmed Reshid Bey. He acted on pure hatred on Christians. After his death, his wife was given stolen properties and businesses of Armenians by Ataturk

> the Armenians had become hazardous microbes in the body of this country. Well, isn’t it a doctor’s duty to kill microbes?
