Yes! Started turning it on a couple of days ago. We are in an old house though…

    2. Mine is on a thermostat and yesterday was the first time it came on since about May.

I’m a dad for the last few years so I’m telling everyone to put in more jumpers even though I’m cold myself.

I don’t want to be this guy, but it’s my responsibility.

Not a chance. This isn’t even jumpers temperature. It’s long sleave time.

Might light the fire tonight. Some fuel in the shed from last year.

    7. Already on. East coast fishing village has been feeling the brunt for a few days.

Try and hold off until mid October. This is fine with a big duvet on the bed. Temperatures still good during the day.

    9. Our heating runs on electricity, and at these prices, that’s a resounding NO. Until I see ice crystals on the window, its jumpers all around….

But we have double glazing and good insulation, meaning its not so bad inside, and worst case, I bake a cake, which will provide food and warmth 🙂

No im bar tight and last year the stove wasn’t lit till November as October was very mild. Keep pushing through lads.

    12. Ya, on Thursday I was coming down to the kitchen and I saw the thermostat gone into heating mode and heard the boiler. Thursday was the first day after summer that the heating kicked in. We are officially in winter.

(It’s set to 21, so overnight temperature in kitchen hall dropped to below that … brrrrrrr)
