Iirc some of the casting auditions for Star Wars and Carrie were held simultaneously in the same building as each other and a lot of actors were trying out for roles from both movies, including Amy Irving who was trying out for Princess Leia on top of getting the part of Sue Snell

      This is symbolic messaging.

Both the two biggest films of 1977 (Star Wars and Smokey & the Bandit) feature a Carrie in White. A year after Carrie (1976).

      What does Carrie represent?

I was in a date, a hundred years ago, watching Brokeback Mountain. There were two reasonably talkative women behind me. 5 seconds before the big emotional scene at the end, one of the ladies whispered loudly to her friend what was about to happen- followed by her saying- “it’s sooo sad!”
      🙄

    4. My cousin spoiled Darth Vader being Luke’s father and that still stings.

Watching “The Sixth Sense” with my Mom. At the restaurant scene she leans over and whispers “He’s dead!”
      Grrrr…..

    6. When I was going to see blade runner, the ticket taker said “oh it’s not very good.” As he said the theater number and direction… little asshole.

A guy I worked with asked me if I had watched Fight Club yet, I hadn’t. Goes on to tell me it’s so great, and you definitely don’t get until the very end, that he has DID/multiple personality disorder.

      I fucking hated that guy.
