His fame and reach has been overstated. Nobody cared what he was going to do or not going to do. Sure he had a lot of views. So do a lot of people. The powers that be manufactured his fame and then organised his removal once it was expedient as a distraction, false flag, or attempt to create further division. Kirk himself was a patsy.
