      An Iranian lawmaker on Thursday called for Qatar to expel U.S. forces and allow Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to deploy missiles on its territory, a move aimed at countering Israel that could escalate regional tensions.

      Newsweek has contacted the U.S. State Department and the Iranian and Qatari foreign ministries for comment.

      It’s a tweet from a random Iranian MP.  The same guy previously threatened to kill Trump and also claimed Iranian intelligence had planted a camera in Netanyahu’s residence.

      Israeli jets were able to operate with impunity above Tehran during the 12 day Iran-Israel war…and now they want to offer that to Qatar?

      Can anyone explain why they would make this offer? It’s obviously ridiculous, they can’t protect Tehran much less their neighbors. So what is the calculation here, why would they speak up?
