Given the state of the world, I’m not surprised the MoD is keeping new tech under wraps.
The article also doesn’t give any specific examples. Stating that this could help the NHS and economy could be true, but it’s speculative at best.
Sitting on them like some kind of goblin rubbing its hands together on a giant pile of gold? Jerks.
It’s tricky if it’s even true as MoD will have legally binding agreements with outside companies and other governments. Some may also require declassifying as they are likely official secrets.
I read this as defense companies want your health data to create bio weapons.
Fun fact: a lot of medical devices, drugs, etc, originated in the military. Most well-known example is superglue, designed to close battlefield wounds quickly.
