I mean, it’s less that you’re facing off with terrorists, Bibi and more the part with the collateral damage being… how do I put this delicately… excessive?
Again, it was definitely ‚deserved‘ what with the Hamas leadership in Qatar being incredibly corrupt, and they filched a whole lot of money, much of it ‚aid‘ while basically choosing to enrich themselves or arm terror groups rather than, I don’t know, participate in building a stable state… so they kinda stuck out as a sore thumb that many wondered why they weren’t targeted before since they spent so much time sitting pretty.
That said, more indiscriminate bombing, backroom wheeling and dealing and so on and so forth will always continue to erode International support and impressions of Israelis but I’m fairly certain we’ve long arrived at the ‚try to get away with as much as possible before those pesky consequences show up‘ stage of geopolitics, and the stage being set is basically cracklin‘ tinder for the flame of social outrage.
Also shout out to the UN for continuing to waste everybody’s time with tut-tutting and agenda-flavored bluster.
