Not surprising. Pretty much all „magic mushroom“ gummies, chocolates, etc use amanita because that’s not federally regulated.
Does not surprise me at all. I had some “mushroom” chocolate a few weeks ago and it was 100% some kind of stimulant and not mushrooms. My guess is 2C-B.
Wouldn’t that break the false advertising law as if it states it’s got magic mushrooms in it but doesn’t then sell it still, or is there loopholes to get around it.
Huh, dumb question, is there some studios that analyses how many people report to have some kind of hallucination or other effect after eating this kind of products?
My point is: is placebo effect strong enough in some people to actually force their brain to get high?
Do they at any point identify the products that were tested?
Mystery gummies are sold all over the world and there very little way to know for sure what’s in them. They might have small amount of some chemical compound that makes you feel funny for a few minutes, or it might be something toxic that makes you really sick.
You should always be very careful about substances you put into your body, especially if they claim to be intoxicating. When it comes to mycology, home cultivation for educational purposes is surprisingly easy and a much safer way to go.

Most of the product labels listed confectionary ingredients, but some listed active ingredients that were not detected or did not disclose any active ingredients (Table 1). The label of gummy 7 indicated psilocybin (100 mg per gummy), but none was detected in this or any of the products. The Amanita muscaria constituents muscarine and muscimol were listed on the label of gummy 1 but were not detected in any of the products.
We found 7 gummies and the chocolate were adulterated because they contained ingredients not disclosed on the labels (Table 1). Gummy 3 contained caffeine, whereas gummies 6 and 11 and the chocolate contained psilocin but not psilocybin or its biosynthetic precursors baeocystin and norbaeocystin, suggesting adulteration with synthetic psilocin. Based on comparison with an authenticated kava extract and identification of kavalactones (eg, kavain, dihydromethysticin, yangonin, and methysticin), gummy 2 contained an extract of kava (Piper methysticum Forst.). Kava is used for its anxiolytic and hallucinogenic properties but has been linked to hepatotoxicity.4 Gummy 4 contained an extract of Cannabis sativa L. based on the identification of cannabinoids, including cannabidiol, cannabidivarin, cannabichromene, Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and cannabinol (Table 2).“
I hope all of those companies get charged with fraud.
The mushrooms they’re using are amanita based, so the active ingredient isn’t pcylosibin or psylicin. It’s muscimol, which is also psychoactive.
I’ve heard tales of other compounds being put in there as well, but what do you expect when the products are sold alongside gas station bones pills.
I would trust good old paper acid over storebought shroom crap.

Many times it’s actually Phenylethylamine Hydrochloride
NOT amanita.
I kinda wanna go eat them all now just to see how they make me feel.
