This administration doesn’t have any idea what it is doing. Literally.
Why the hell would you *-want-* to stay after that?
So as an incentive to stay, he prolonged their detainment?
He’s only interested in the underaged workers.
He may be holding them hostage for something?
…..what does „encouraged“ mean
„encouraged“ seems nefarious.
Return… but can be treated like political and economic hostages in a sudden mood change.
>“He (Trump) therefore ordered the repatriation process to be put on hold.”
>The official noted that the explanation came during a meeting between Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington earlier that day.
>In response to Trump’s proposal, Cho told Rubio that since the detained Korean citizens were extremely shocked and exhausted, it would be better for them to return home first and then come back to the U.S. to work.
>“The U.S. side respected our view and agreed to let the detained Koreans return home,“ the foreign ministry official said…
>…Lee added that [as] the two sides are negotiating to secure additional quotas or create a new visa category for Korean workers…
detained since Sept 4 raid, going home today Sept 10, „shocked and exhausted.“
The US is such a fucking embarrasment
Sounds like detainment. I wouldn’t put it past him to use these poor workers as leverage in trade negotiations.
Is this a joke??? What is going on
Trump loves big business so I’m guessing this raid annoyed him .raids are only for the working class and not his stock market buddy companies
Trump changed his mind after Korean companies threatened to stop massive investments.
Nope. Go home just to spite Trump. He started this mess, he can eat it too.
If I’m invited to someone’s home for Thanksgiving and they tell me to make myself at home, but then only give me a bowl of soup at dinner and even spit in it, I’d know it’s time to leave.
All right, what or how much was paid in bribes?
Also, release the Epstein files.
„I looked at them and I said, ‚Wow, they’re not brown, what the hell are you doing? Let them go!‘ I mean, they didn’t even sound like they were speaking Spanish, it never should have happened“
So, Trump’s ICE Gestapo detained them, but now they are allowed to stay, because the South Korean government has called him to account? Because, he literally doesn’t understand economics, finances,or human rights! The stupidest President in history! I didn’t think anyone could outrank Bush Jr.!
Tell me how this isn’t authoritarian.
They were detained, their country of origin said no problem give them back and then the President of the detaining country was like nu uh we actually need them working here, against their wishes. So the Prime Minister of their country of origin has to persuade the President by saying they’ll totally be back but should rest first.
Like these are people not fucking machinery to move around at whim for one.
For two, this sounds like something that would happen in the Congo or some shit, not the United States of America. What in the strong man authoritarianism is going on here.
Do the workers want to stay? Or are they basically slaves to their parent company
씨발 지랄하고 있네
> relax, guy!
„no no, these workers are the right kind of non-white“
