Hmm so it seems that we should ban heterosexual marriages along with lesbian marriages, and promote gay marriages because they are the most stable.

Wow I did not realize that ~40% marriages end in separation. That’s surprising. That’s almost a 50/50 if a married person statistically dies married or not.

All the lesbians are just celebrating how nowadays women have the right and opportunity to divorce

I firmly believe this is because of Borat and the all-too-common use of “Mai Waif.” M/M marriages often avoid this problem.

    5. So the number of women in a relationship is a strong predictor for the likelihood of a relationship to end up in divorce… the numbers line up so perfectly it looks almost made up.

    6. This proves men should , in order of priority ,
      1. Stay single. Focus on work, interests and achieve greatness, satisfaction , accomplishment, validation and happiness

      2. Be with another man, for physical needs, pure fun in doing things together and challenge each other to reach greater heights, be it a game of basketball, watching World Cup over pizza together, gym training, PlayStation, there’s so much endless fun!

      3. stay away from women unless you want endless nagging, yelling, gaslighting, public drama, emotional blackmailing, guilt tripping, low quality rest for the rest of your lives. Save yourself and leave the ladies to their parents or their female best friends

Ladies these days are no longer the ladies of the yesteryears. Wake up, guys!

We are not born to kill the cockroaches, fix the bulb, set up wifi, carry groceries, chauffeur the ladies, work ourselves to death for their manicures, facials, hair perms, handbags, shoes expenses nonsense

What are the main causes of divorce between Lesbians? And also, what methodology was used for the study?

How many of those 59.1% had the Uhaul loaded up by the second date?

There’s only one lesson from this. The gays should marry the lesbians to promote successful marriages.

Data is „beautiful“ lmao. How do these ugly and/or basic graphs keep getting upvoted? I could be wrong, but putting the axis label in the middle of the chart and pointing to the axis is not exactly normal.

    11. Why are half of the comments borderline sexist? Not even the ones that are jokes, but straight up just sexism

Edit: Search „women“ and see for yourselves lol not even counting the dudes saying females

High domestic violence, high divorce rates….

What is going on with the lesbians fellas

    13. Honestly I view this data entirely differently. What I see is women finally having the choice to leave bad relationships and doing so.

And gay men showing that monogamy isn’t the best long term relationship solution.

Still it should be completely upto them whether they wanna keep their marriages or not no Government or Supreme court should forcefully take their marriage away!

    15. For completion we should compare relationship laying as well (married or not) to determine if the cause lies in a higher marriage rate for women vs men.

Does this data reflect the number of divorces within lesbian marriages or does it reflect the number of lesbians to have been divorced ever? This distinction is very important because there are large numbers of lesbians who were in comp-het marriages that ended before they came out as lesbians. I suspect this data doesn’t reflect the lesbians who divorced men vs those that divorced women.

    17. I would like to see a version of this chart that plots divorces relative to their population sizes. Last I checked, gay men had a lower rate of marriage than the other two groups too (I don’t know if that’s still the case). So this shows a higher rate of success in the marriages that do happen, but does that translate to a higher rate of lasting marriages overall?

    18. At this rate 115% of lesbians couples will be divorced by 90 years into marriage 🙁

watched a jim jefferies bit yesterday about this stat; „remember, gay also means happy“

    20. Not trying to be controversial but I would have expected the numbers to more or less level off after 5 or so years. It seams that is not the case as the number of divorces is still rising even 20 years into a marriage.

Given how often women are the ones pushed to leave bad relationships in Male/female relationships, i am not surprized in the slightest that the female/female relationships had higher divorce. The women are just less likely to stay in a bad relationship from my understanding.

    22. BigTiddyVampireWaifu on

Cool! Now do one for data on infidelity in those same relationship types!

    23. AnAussiebum on

Anecdotally, lesbians will get married asap and then discuss the deal breaker questions.

Gays will go a decade of being together and one day think ‚probably should make this legally official‘.

So I think the female + female number is inflated because they are more likely to marry quickly.

So it would be interesting to see the same data but quick marriages vs very late marriages.

      It may align similarly.

    24. Math-Hatter on

Guys probably don’t have kids, have more income, and are more likely to open the marriage up when they want other sexual partners without divorcing.

Kids, money, and sex are common reasons for divorce, and they’re less likely to experience those issues/stresses.

    25. People making a big deal of gender, rightly. But I think a more interesting angle is the degree to which sexual fidelity is important in the marriage. Historically, sexual fidelity has not been as important among gay men as it is with other types of couples.

    26. barely_a_manager on

So the more women in a relationship, the higher the chance of divorce?
