    1. Price seems normal for those. Good thing is that it is a dealer car, just check dealer reviews if they assist if there is any issue. Getting 12 month warranty on a 5 year old car is a bonus. Confirm that full service history, that is really important. Can’t see any issues with that.

    2. Depends.

What are comparable cars in this segment with similar mileage and age?

Imported means the car pass only has data once it was in Belgium. Car pass only ensures km registrations once registered and maintained in Belgium.

Does it have a complete maintenance history?

Generally, it’s a *good deal* because it misses a complete history so it can be a red flag or not.

Go check the car out. At 53Kkm interior and exterior should still be pristine. If it’s not, it means it’s done more mileage, or not well maintained.

Another trick is measuring the thickness of the paint to find out which parts have been repainted after a collision or damage, but slight damage which is well repaired isn’t a red flag either. Recent factory paints are not as good as older paints because of environmental reasons, so a lot of shops decide to respray the front anyway to repair stone chip damage, which makes the paint thicker than robotic applied factory paint.

Another idea is to get it through a VAB check. [https://www.vab.be/mobiliteitsdiensten/diagnosecentrum](https://www.vab.be/mobiliteitsdiensten/diagnosecentrum)

    3. Check if the 60k km or 5-year service been done or will it be due (timing belt, fluid changes, etc.)?
Also check if any repairs were done after the inspection.

Besides that, it seems like an ok offer.

    4. These PureTech 1.2 engines do not have the best track record if you search it up online.

Also – not this 2020 model – for older 2011-2018 models there was a dangerous issue with the airbag from a certain supplier.
[Owners of Citroën C3 and DS3 models built between 2009 and 2018 equipped with a Takata airbag will receive a notice, asking them to stop using their car and have the airbag replaced as soon as possible. ](https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/en/2025/06/20/stop-drive-notice-issued-for-28-000-citroen-cars-sold-in-belgium/)

      Keep looking and good luck

Edit: not an expert 😉 just someone looking at Peugeot 208’s in the past

    5. I think those engines have a wet belt. Meaning the timing belt is inside of the oil. The belt degrades because of this, and that absolutely destroys the engine. Check if that belt has been diligently maintained and oil has been changed correctly. If so, you should be good.

Any doubt on the oil changes and I would skip this one unless the dealership is willing to warranty the engine.
