This is very bad, because in the morning Poland called it an attack, and then NATO countries thought about it and decided not to call it an attack. I’m afraid Putin will go further in his „provocations“ in Poland 🙁
I honestly expected a better response ngl. It was very clearly intentional, they are probing for whatever. This was not one drone accidentally going there, or EW redirecting one. It was a small swarm intended to go to Poland. I’m not saying Russia wants to attack Poland or anything, but everything has a reason. They wanted to see the reaction.
As soon as any drone lands in the actual nato countries, the real Europe, like Austria, Germany or Denmark, then it is an attack and counters like Poland have to mobilize and help, otherwise, who cares, of course

The article is bullshit TBH. The drones were shot down by Polish and Dutch airforce. Few other NATO measures were deployed. It is stated everywhere it is NATO airspace. So, the article is bullshit

I understand them, but I understand Putin’s logic too. He is gonna push slow, searching for this „red line“. He knows now he can send drones and nothing will happen. What about missiles? What if he hits a warehouse with those? What about power plant? What if 10 Russian soldiers walk through the border? What if 100? Etc.

So a enemy nation **SENDING** attack drones over the borders into a NATO country’s airspace is NOT an attack? What the fuck? This wasn’t just one drone barely scraping between the borders on accident, this was multiple attack drones **sent** into Poland **deliberately**, that were shot down, they didn’t even have time to return back to Russian airspace. So if this fucker sends a few attack helicopters, a jet or two, or drones over Alaska, so US airspace, that’s also just an oopsie daisy?

I very much doubt Poland itself wants an escalation as they are the frontline and would be the ones dealing with retaliation.
Shooting the drones down is an appropriate response.
Sadly, every day Putin is just proven more and more right about NATO unity. At some point he will invade Latvia and cut off Estonia and by the time he is in Riga we will still be debating if this is an attack. If something like what happened yesterday with the drones happened during the Cold War all hell would break loose. And that’s for the very simple reason that deterrence was believable then, it isn’t now, and that is a catastrophic state of affairs.
NATO is literally blinding itself just to avoid conflict with russia. YET leftists say NATO wants war. I’m just curious how they went to this conclusion? What’s their argument?
