Well, that’s certainly….someone…to replace Mercedes. I’m sure Ben will be full of measured and nuanced takes of Canadian politics.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Poilievre make an appearance on the show, which I believe would be his first Sunday show appearance since becoming leader.
I remember when John Tory co-hosted this show before becoming mayor. He was also forthright about having a political bias, but his commentary was still interesting.
Brian Mulroney is a talentless hack that got this opportunity purely through nepotism due to his last name. He will fit in well in a Global newsroom.

He’s as political insightful as a bowl of oatmeal. He is as a reviewer once described him as „Underneath that dense layer of plastic is another dense layer of plastic.“
Oy vey. I listen to his radio show regularly, and he’s just so blatantly biased and his takes come from limited and/or dated information. His entire schtick is just ripping anyone non-conservative, for the most part.
Tbh he’s like the right’s equivalent to Trudeau – nepo baby ideologue who critiques on principle. I bet we’ll see him run for office at some point.
