Israel carried out a historic strike in Doha, Qatar, targeting senior Hamas leaders.
Explosions were reported in the Katara district, with smoke rising over the city.
The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the attack, calling it a precise operation against those responsible for the October 7 massacre and ongoing war efforts. Israel said steps were taken to minimize civilian harm.
The strike came shortly after Hamas leaders met in Doha to discuss a US cease fire and hostage-release proposal pushed by Qatar.
Some questions – How effective was the strike? We know that at least one senior Hamas leader was killed already but are waiting for more details.
Was this coordinated with the US? If not, what would be the reaction of the American government?
What of Qatar itself, what can it do aside from obvious condemnations?
Here’s hoping the attack was effective at eliminating as many Hamas leaders as possible!
Edit: I’ve seen reports that the US was aware and approved the attack.

Reports are the Strike was approved by the US prior to it happening, so this likely means Qatar knew it was coming as well.
Also reported that Zaher Jabarin, Khaled Mashal, Mousa Abu Marzook and *Taher el-Nounou* and Khalil al-Hayya have all been killed.

Wow. I figured if they targeted them in Qatar it’d be with something more along the lines of sabotage (planted bomb, etc.)
Is there even anyone left to negotiate with at this point?

Good riddance. It’s amazing to what extent October 7th has completely backfired and continues to backfire.

No doubt Israeli is now upping the game. What is only left now is for the West and the rest of the world to wake their eyes up and turn the tide on violence and chaos being ignited upon by the far left-Islamist pro-Palestinian alliance against Jews and Israelis everywhere.

In June 23 Iran shot Qatari air base. 3 months later Israel shoots Hamas‘ in Qatar (successfully or not, we’ll know in a few hours). Qatari sovereignty is at its lowest. I expect the anti-Israeli vitriol to ramp up, because that’s the only weapon Qatar has.

International law anyone ? Doesn’t matter it seem- so when someone someday attacks Israel , which will happen, it will be interesting to see worlds reaction.
This act is just terrible.
Qatar should really send a bomb back – but they are probably spineless.
