In Austin kostet Robotaxis 1/5 von einem Uber. Menschen sind teuer und jedes Unternehmen arbeitet daran, sie auszuschneiden. Es scheint, als wären wir kurz vor Massenarbeitslosigkeit von Taxifahrern, Uber -Fahrern, Lkw -Fahrern usw., und dies ist wahrscheinlich nur der Anfang.

The future is extremely bleak
It’s even worse. Uber and Lyft are barely profitable, after years of loses.
These days companies run on debt and loses hoping to get bought out by an investment group that takes out as much money as it can, sell of assets, do layoffs, and bankrupt the company. Or make an IPO where the owners make tons of money on stock and speculation.
The side effect is crushing small business, which can’t compete against a larger company that runs on a loss.
Semi drivers are the #1 largest job in the country, in terms of people employed. They make good money too, solidly middle class. If that industry ever goes robotic/automated, there will be a lot of people looking for work.
😭😭 these prices ain’t realistic. Clearly this is just a promo. Even when they start real buisness they are not gonna be cheap.
Still requires a human „auditor“ in the front seat.
Refuse to use them.
