In the 2-1 ruling, the justices said they found „indications that the current food supply to prisoners does not sufficiently guarantee compliance with the legal standard.“ They said they had found „real doubts“ that prisoners were eating properly and ordered the prison service to „take steps to ensure the supply of food that allows for basic subsistence conditions in accordance with the law.“

Guessing those real doubts came when they saw pictures of people with their ribs sticking out. Also no surprise small Alt-rights are calling the decision a disgrace.

Association for Civil Rights in Israel [ACRI] called for the verdict to be implemented immediately. In a post on social media platform X, it said the prison service has „turned Israeli prisons into torture camps.“

„A state does not starve people,“ it said. „People do not starve people — no matter what they have done.“

    2. It just really boggles my ming that Israelis can condone the apartheid and deliberate efforts to wipe out the Palestinian people when there are people still alive who experienced the Holocaust.

Israel has obviously never forgotten the lessons imparted by the Germans, right?!?

    4. this type of stuff and the settler shit in the west bank needs to stop, feed the prisoners and reel in the settlers israel. I generally am supportive of israel’s actions against hamas and hezbollah and iran but not feeding people enough in your direct care as prisoners is not something you should resist the court on.
