I share few of Maria Steen’s social and cultural expectations and I’m from Dublin.

The irony is that any fundamentalist muslims coming here do in fact share quite a few of Maria’s cultural values.
During the marriage equality campaign, David Quinn (founder of the Iona Institute) ran a poster campaign with the slogan „a child deserves their mother’s love for their whole life“. His angle was that same sex marriage would lead to a rise in surrogacy. David Quinn has two adopted children. I always wonder how they felt about their Dad putting up those posters. Where there is fundamentalist fervour, hypocrisy is never far away.
Do these Christians actually follow the bible? Or just the parts that suit them politically?

Note how they’ve set it in an aggressive UPPERCASE (ala Trump), they’ve chosen an art deco style font. And they’ve squeezed it horizontally to fit.
Had they just used lower case, they’d reach a broader audience and possibly influence some nut bags.
As I said in another thread, a person who could make me give Bertie a preference. If any Iona institute person goes forward I will vote for everyone (sane) else first.
