and there are more beautiful buildings designed by Armenians in Baku. It is worth highlighting the importance of architects such as Gavriil Ter-Mikelov, Nikolai Bayev, Vartan Sarkisov among others. I wish these excellent architects had designed more buildings in Armenia. I think the last photo is a building designed by Mikelov in Tblisi

It is so frustrating that the Armenians of both the Russian and Ottoman Empires left such attractive buildings for others (including their destroyers) to enjoy, whilst Yerevan did not receive such treatment – presumably because, unlike Baku, Tiflis and Constantinople, it was not of similar commercial significance.

Lol, didn’t know ~~Johan Edel (architect of İsa Bəy Hacınski’s house (the pink building)), Хрисанф Васильев (the architect of Sabunchu Station (now Railway Museum))~~, Józef Płoszko (architect of at least 2 of the buildings in this post) were Armenians. Especially didn’t know that Tbilisi Marriott Hotel’s building moved from Tbilisi to Baku!

OP’s thought process:

1. Google „great looking buildings“. (and remember, they don’t even have to be in Baku!)
2. Claim they were built by Armenians, in Baku!
3. Farm karma I guess?
