    1. Trump cannot legally rename the Gulf of Mexico.

      In order to do that, ALL countries involved need to submit their proposal to the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names…which of course, Mexico would never agree to.

      Trying to act like an emperor/dictator over international affairs has no meaning when the world doesn’t accept your legitimacy.

      Why would they accept a name change done unilaterally by a foreign country? There isn’t the expectation that’s how things work. It’s not even a move done in spite. It’s just not relevant.

      They also unilaterally rejected the misguided boarder lines stemming from the London Convention (1818) & Webster–Ashburton Treaty (1842) and others.
