If that is the case, with all the women that use tylenol during pregnancy, the rate of autism should be far higher.

Well, that’s better than blaming vaccines… (trying to find any sliver of a silver lining these days)

So, Tylenol, which was introduced in 1955. Why Tylenol specifically. Why not acetominophen/paracetamol, which was introduced in the 19th century?

      Bat..shit..crazy

Idiot has chunk of brain missing, lies in public for personal gain. Fuck this piece of shit.

I’m starting to think he’s the cause for autism, the way he blames everything randomly around him.

    7. We’re supposed to take health advice from a former heroin addict with a brain worm? This country is fucked!

Oh man…I love that the one saving grace of this evil and corrupt administration is that they are genuinely crazy and dumb as sin.

Yeah, ok fundamentalists. Stop taking pain medication. What fucking ever. Or hell, go ahead republicans, ban Tylenol. The electorate deserves that kind of wake up call anyway.

Also, I got my COVID shot today, so…you know…I’m flipping you all off with both hands while leaving the room and saying ‚deuces‘.

Tylenol is like the only painkiller you’re allowed to take while pregnant. What would RFK Jr. advise pregnant women to take as an alternative?

So after all the “vaccines cause autism” talk, now it’s just Tylenol that causes it. I wonder how all those diehard antivaxxers (who were so sure it was vaccines causing autism) feel now.

    11. Decades of brilliant minds, across the globe, couldn’t find any concrete links to autism and vaccines, medications, etc, but lo and behold, after just mere months, Mr Conspiracy Brain Worm has solved it all. Nothing at all to recent suits against Tylenol the past couple of years, (which again have no actual definitive evidence), but it’s the ‘newest autism rage’. Nope, no coincidence at all. /s

You are going to tell me a product launched in 1995 in the United States is the cause for the previous thousand years of humanity’s autism…
Nice try you cool cat and kitten 🐈‍⬛

For all the „skeptics“ out there:

      **Vaccines and autism:**

The debunked claim that vaccines cause autism originated from a small study back in 1998 authored by the infamous Andrew Wakefield. The study was later found to be inherently flawed and fraudulent. It was retracted and repudiated by the scientific community.

Wakefield had his medical license revoked for serious professional misconduct and he’s been ostracized by medical experts.

Since then, many large scale, rigorous studies have established no link between vaccines and autism.

Wakefield’s study included only 12 children. This kind of sample size is unprecedentedly small—meaningless in fact—and far too small to draw any reliable conclusions from.

Wakefield was also criticized for a lack of a control group in his study.

He also altered patients medical histories to support his claims. He had conflicts of interest and his study involved the unethical treatment of children.

Dozens of large scale studies involving literally millions of children have since been conducted, all of them consistently pointing to the same conclusions—that vaccines do not cause autism.

      **About thimerosal:**

Thimerosal is a mercury based preservative that was more commonly used in vaccines in the 20th century.

Its use only began fueling fears from anti-vaxxers in the late 90s, around the same time that the widely discredited „Wakefield Study“ was published

The study falsely linked MMR vaccines to autism. The MMR vaccine never contained Thimerosal, but anti-vaxxers still held on to the baseless claim that it was causing harm to children.

Around this time, RFK Jr. was claiming publicly that Thimerosal based vaccines were linked to autism and other developmental disorders in children.

Extensive scientific research has shown there is no link between Thimerosal-containing vaccines and autism/neurological disorders.

Research has also shown that even low doses of the preservative in vaccines do not cause any harm other than minor reactions like redness/swelling at the site of injection.

And despite this research, Thimerosal was still removed from most childhood vaccines as a precautionary measure, and not in any way due to proven harm.

Moreover, when Thimerosal was removed from vaccines, cases of childhood autism continued increasing, further dispelling this dangerous myth.

And while it may be redundant at this point, it should be noted that symptoms of mercury poisoning differ significantly from the symptoms of autism

Unfortunately, when the decision was made to remove or reduce the use of Thimerosal in childhood vaccines, it inadvertently confirmed the fears of a growing number of anti-vaxxers. And now decades later, these crackpots still continue to spread dangerous misinformation about Thimerosal causing neurological harm to children, among other things of course…

      **Vaccine „skepticism“ as federal policy:**

The current regime has been singlehandedly responsible for sowing distrust in medical science and the medical community—especially during disease outbreaks.

Nearly the entire medical community disputes RFK Jr’s claim that mRNA vaccines have risks that outweigh benefits. Beyond that, rigorous studies and reliable data show that they are indeed effective and save lives, even when viruses mutate

Kennedy’s statements are dangerous and false. He’s promoting disinformation at the cost of scientific progress and lives.

He’s eliminated funding for mRNA research and technology and has said that he would be redirecting funds towards „safer, broader vaccine platforms“ for illnesses like the flu and other infectious disease, but mRNA was already being researched for treating influenza and other infectious diseases, and it happens to be one of the most advanced and innovative „platforms“ available.

Not to mention, mRNA technology was also being explored to treat multiple cancers, malaria, HIV, even infections passed from mother to infant… Now who’s „murdering babies?“

One of the reasons why mRNA technology is so important and innovative is because it can be used to develop and deliver vaccines faster than other approaches to producing vaccines.

Meaning, of course, that mRNA research and technology helps us respond more quickly to pandemics… Imagine that.

Also, on a global/geopolitical scale, these cuts to mRNA research risk our competitiveness with other countries that actually understand the importance of mRNA research and advancements. Countries that will poach our scientists and researchers while far outpacing the US in vaccine innovation.

mRNA technology is also innovative because it doesn’t require lab grown viruses like more „traditional“ vaccines; meaning less risk of „lab leaks.“ You’d think that would be a huge selling point for all the people warning us about such things.

But with all of these benefits in mind, Kennedy has chosen to stick with the baseless claim that these vaccines and this technology comes with its outweighing „risks.“

He’s chosen to politicize science at the cost of public health, scientific innovation, pandemic preparedness, and basic trust in medicine and the scientific community in general. Oh, and don’t forget the future generations of Americans who will lose access to advanced, life saving treatments, or the fact that he’s undoing decades worth of scientific progress and advancements in mRNA technology, research and development.

Science has indeed become politicized by the right.

Overwhelming scientific consensus, the latest research and data, and conclusions drawn from peer reviewed, scientific journals are challenged by conspiracy theorists and their „alternative facts.“ Legitimate concerns and policies that seek to address things like climate change and pandemic preparedness are blasted as radical left inventions.

They deny legitimate science and insist that their ass-backwards and misanthropic views about medicine, biology, vaccines, diseases, etc, are more informed than the leading and relevant scientific research on the matter

RFK Jr. is the most unqualified person to be heading HHS due to his dangerously unscientific claims and the large role he’s played in undermining trust in the medical community and endangering public health.

There’s also his loyalty to Donald Trump and a MAGA agenda that is defunding and eroding the independence of public health related agencies while stripping qualified civil servants of their protections, only to replace them with incompetent loyalists who are committed to reversing decades of scientific progress.

Even as a once arguably prominent environmental lawyer, Kennedy is turning a blind eye to this administration’s rollback of EPA regulations and climate initiatives and its efforts to desecrate our national parks, pollute the environment, tarnish the land, and cater to the interests of the fossil fuels industry.

As HHS secretary, he’s been responsible for defunding scientific and medical research. His department is also taking steps to dismantle agencies and organizations that play a crucial role in protecting the environment and maintaining public health and safety.

RFK Jr is a menace to society. His combination of incompetency and lunacy should have disqualified him from serving in any position in the federal government, let alone as director of HHS.
