I’m really wondering what NES has planned. He had a failed run to OLP leadership, was made a cabinet minister for 10 seconds and seems to be quite salty since being demoted.
I like that he’s speaking out against his party, I’ve agreed with a lot of the things he’s said, I’m just very curious what he short and long term goals here because he’s definitely getting himself on the wrong side of this new Carney Liberal Party.
I’m assuming he’s hoping Crombie gets forced out or resigns and he’ll try for round two and be a Trudeau-esque progressive Liberal and try and over take the ONDP.
But.. either way. Seeing Carney’s back bench call him out is lovely.
NES completely misses the mark here on how to be a leader. Calling what Palestine did a heinous act, but what Israel is doing genocidal isn’t really leadership. If you want to be a leader you first have to acknowledge and understand the grievances of both sides. If anything, on the scale of clear genocidal acts, the attack from the Palestinian state (not a terrorist attack) was a way clearer case of genocide. On the other hand Israel has been careless of Palestinian well being and extremely destructive, and done so on a massive scale, however only one party went from door to door to murder entire villages.
