When due process isn’t being followed, and the citizens have been taken by unidentified, masked men, the word is ‚abducted‘, not ‚arrested‘.
Big companies have been doing this for years and just look the other way until something like this happens. The workers are the ones who get screwed over the most every time.

The right wingers are cheering this on of course. Yet I see nothing and hear nothing about businesses and farmers being held responsible for hiring illegals in the first place. I think we all know why.
ICE is too scared to go after real criminals on the street. They’re going after innocent hardworking people lol.
I live in the area. The plant is basically brand new and this will undoubtedly hinder operations. The locals, however, are cheering this raid. A large paper mill just closed, so they are naturally assuming everyone laid off at the paper mill will soon be bolting fenders onto Hyundais.

450 People, who arent suspected of any criminal act. Immigration is a civil offence, not a criminal offense. That’s why the government denied access to an attorney for immigration court.
This is just the gestapo putting pressure on companies to donate to the party for protection money.
And what was the amount of the fine levied against Hyundai?
Including upper management? I think not.
Who was it that hired all these people? Did they also arrest the GM, AGM, HR Manager and so on?
I’m in Los Angeles. They started taking people off the streets here three or four months ago. It’s been horrific to watch as Chicago, DC, and New York followed not long after, and now it’s just everywhere.
Nowhere is safe. Red/blue, big city/small city – it doesn’t matter. Legal/undocumented/native born – it doesn’t matter. They do not feel the need to adhere to any of the existing legal restrictions we place on law enforcement, and they laugh in your face if you try to point those restrictions out.
They are smug, violent, reckless, sloppy, and intentionally cruel. They are untrained, unregulated, and so far have faced ZERO consequences for their actions.
And they are coming to your city.
I wonder if the Hyundai corporate overlords donated to the Trump campaign? If so I hope they enjoy all of this winning…I’m sure the average Joe white male Georgian will gladly pick up the slack left by these 450 vacancies.

Basically, aside from illegal workers, they swept up a bunch of South Korean team leaders, managers, and senior staff on business trips from LG Energy Solution headquarters.
This is going to play internationally as DO NOT GO TO THE US, not even for business travel. Considering international tourists are crashing, now expect business travel to crater as well. Not to mention a lot more reluctance on the part of international companies to set up factories in the US.
This is nightmare stuff for international companies. Even the threat of getting arrested by ICE is a huge turnoff.
How many of the executives that greenlit hiring undocumented immigrants were arrested?

A decent size auto components plant has a couple thousand workets easily. 475 is not an insignificant amount. Meaning production is hosed… Given it’s a battery plant and that Hyundai is a serious competitor to He Who Shall Not Be Named i can’t help but wonder if it’s related…
