I feel really sorry about afghanistan. It’s like things are moving backwards over there and at some point they’ll see themselves living in the stone age.
Religion is required to override humans intrinsic desire to care for others (even in our tribe).

Tbh while i feel bad, i kinda also dont care either.
We spent billions of dollars, thousands of soldiers dead, and 20 years just for these people to revert back to their ways in a matter of weeks.
Some places cannot be or dont want to be fixed.

Well if a wife or a daughter dies theycab replace them with a newer wife. Even outside of the Taliban a womans life is not worth it. If the husband gets ill the wife often sells her own organs to safe her husbands life( or it its expected of her) If the wife gets ill, the husband is already looking for a new wife even before his wife dies
If I were a women in Afghanistan I would chose death over sexual slavery
Surely g-d wants all ~~his~~ her little children to be buried alive and die a slow agonizing death under rubble. It’s the Word.
As a white western medic traveling in an islamic state, I was warned NOT to administer first aid to any Muslim girl/woman even in an emergency situation. Was told I need the husband/father/brother’s permission to touch a female Muslim, which they would not give, letting them die rather than me providing help..
Now I’m an accepting kinda guy and tolerant of most things, but this blew my mind. Thankfully I was not tested in this way, but it would be very difficult to just let somebody die when I could have made efforts to save their life. It’s mind boggling..

I hope the ppl from all over the world stop sending any sort of aide to that country. It’ll just empower talibani men. Imagine what can happen if the no. of women in that country drastically reduces due to lack of medical attn and widespread abuse. It’ll have widespread international impact

If it’s a life or death situation, you can touch the opposite sex to save them or yourself. No one in their right mind would use that to have sex with someone. You are saving another person.

I feel horrible for all the women there but especially those who got the taste of equality and freedom when the Taliban weren’t in charge only to be sent back to this old world Hell again because they know they have worth unlike what they grew up being taught under Taliban rule. That’s gotta be an insane complete 360 to experience and suddenly find yourself back under the old stranglehold of Sharia law overnight.
