Canada is on the brink of economic collapse.
We need to accept our role as a resource exporter and focus on generating wealth for Canadians and improving our standard of living.
Grandstanding on stifling our own economic development which will have *zero* material impact on global emissions because other countries like China and the US are not taking that approach is just a recipe for more stagnation and hurts the Canadian people.
We would do more for global emissions by displacing high carbon fuels with our cleaner energy than we would by stopping developing them.
This is what happens when you elect the Trudeau team with a new face at the top. I can’t imagine many Trudeau-era MPs believe in inviting the president of the Heritage Foundation to address the caucus, believe that access to TFWs are the second most important issue facing Canadian businesses, or support dropping the EV mandate (all things that have or will happen this week alone). Caucus is going to fracture IMO
I was willing to back dropping the CCT to protect our overall climate initiatives from Poillievre, but if Carney keeps dropping emission reduction policies in favour of resource development I fail to see the value in voting for him again
