The only reason a government would take away rights from a group of people this small is because they are seeking to oppress them without resistance.

The real math proves that Trans people are more or less the least violent group in the united states. We are literally pacifists trying to find some amount of happiness and peace in our fucked up lives. The right thinks about us more than we do.
Out of 5729 shootings since 2013, involving 4 or more casualties. a grand total of 5 shooters were trans. only one was confirmed to be on HRT.
Meaning that only 0.0872% of mass shooters are trans. Roughly .8% to 1.3% of Americans are trans. By basic math you can deduct that on average a trans person is 90% less likely to commit a mass shooting than an average person.
But sure, we are clearly the problem /s
I miss being able to just live my life and my being trans being an unimportant aspect of my day to day being. Even in rural Oklahoma, until 2016 noone gave a shit. it was amazing.

Wtf is the definition of “mentally defective”? Folks – they’re just starting with the trans people. This is yet another thing that our “reasonable” conservatives tried to tell us we were overreacting about.
If they are successful, the administration will start adding everyone else on their wish list: LGBQ folks, autistic folks, everyone who has used mental health care, civil rights activists, leftists, Democrats, unmarried women, vegans, vegetarians etc.
We need to protect trans folks first and foremost. Mark my words, the US is not going to enforce this with existing federal gun control methods. They are going to use this excuse to raid the homes of trans folks to terrorize and harm them. This must be the real reason that GOP governments have compiling databases of trans folks using medical records.

1 in 4 adults suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year according to the National Institutes of Health. Even accepting the premise that being transgender is in and of itself a disorder (and I **do NOT** accept that premise), not all mental health disorders are created equal. One would need to show evidence for why this particular group deserves an extraordinary curtailment of their rights while people with diagnosed depression, anxiety, OCD, and other disorders are excepted.
It’ll be an interesting precedent for when the next dem admin labels MAGA the same way.
My best friend of 15 years is a transwoman. Shes maybe 2 years into her transition now. I’ve never seen her so happy or well.
I have a 7yo son as well, it was not difficult at all to explain to him that my friend now uses X name and such/such pronouns. Literally was like “oh ok” cuz I didn’t put anybody’s bullshit on it. A child who has only awakened to the world in the last ~4 years and still has ~20y of brain development ahead of him.
