* the photo on the left is of an urban road being adapted for pedestrian use (Anne Hidalgo is Paris‘ Mayor).
* the photo on the right is of a motorway (the „ugly thing“ is an acoustic barrier); since Kai Wegner is Berlin’s Mayor, one could assume it’s a major access to Berlin, or a circumventing road thereof.
