Russia did not defeat Nazis, it became them.
Also, never forget that WW2 started when Nazi Germany and USSR allied together to divide Europe and both attacked Poland from 2 sides.
Putin know his military is incapable of matching precision attack against Ukrainian military so he fall for tried and true terroristic attack against civilians that will not require any precision. The more civilians he injure and kill, he hope to kow Ukraine into submission.
Conversely, Ukraine has systematically attacked infrastructures that support Russian war efforts and it is starting to bite Russia.
Ukaine can win if only US will do 180 and give total support with weapons and other aid but that can’t be expected so long as Trump remain in „awe“ of Putin. 😛
…at the same time Reuters is reporting that Russia is cutting crude exports in September as refining activity picks up in Russia…

I’m glad that Russia was overconfident going into the SMO. I think if they would have sent everything they could have it would have been overwhelming.
