There’s going to be so much public pressure against the groups who throw road blocks up in front of this stuff.
I hope the government can still listen to the credible concerned voices and incorporate their feedback without getting stuck in Trudeau-style vetocracy. Combined like 80%+ of Canadians voted for this so it better move.
They need to add Rail to that list. Rail is the best way of getting massive quantities of goods to and from the coasts, and it is largely on the exact same condition (or worse) than it was when we sold it to CN/CP.
We are in desperate need to upgrade our rail infrastructure for both cargo and passenger.
We should be double tracking and grade separating our core routes to make them more resilient.
Interesting to see how few people in Quebec support nuclear energy. Maybe partly the result of the province already being self-sufficient in energy, but other energy projects poll much better there.
