    1. It never ceases to infuriate me that the more money people get the more free shit they get thrown at them

This seems like a „Frasier“ or „Keeping Up Appearances“ episode

Snobs who are desperate to be seen at an event who don’t really care about the event itself

Tennis snobs definitely are ruining the sport. And the excessive drama.

Why give to celebrities when you could give to local schoolchildren and future tennis players.

    4. Anyone buying a U.S. Open ticket remember that you’re subsidizing famous rich people.

Tennis has enough hero sycophancy itself. It’s hard to watch and makes the rise of pickleball make so much more sense.

So she’s partly to blame for why the crowds are so godawful then. Also all the alcohol.

    7. I always wondered why a tennis event was a pap worthy celeb hangout.

Like none of these people care about tennis like that. How and why did it turn into a place you have to be seen being at?

Its advertising. Celebrity endorsements for much cheaper than if you called up Owen Wilson and asked him how much he’d charge to appear court side at the us open for a few hours.

Just another dystopian bullshit extravaganza for the ultra rich while we suffer at the hands of oligarchs who hate us and literally want us to die.

I got free tickets to the US Open a couple of years ago (friend is a not famous member of the USTA) and it was amazing!

Sadly, the only famous person in our area was Anna Wintour.

So, she’s an asshole that promotes the shittiest things about America? Cool.
