    1. They are so scared of their past that they cover their eyes to the present. Its just pathetic

      >The EU remains divided on the issue. Foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas admitted that consensus among member states is lacking and that progress on the proposal is unlikely in the near future, despite the fact that full unanimity is not required.

It is not only Germany, stop shit on Germany.

      I’m disgusted with germany.

      To abstain would be understandable.

      To block is unforgivable.

Germany is becoming a backwards country. And the annoying thing is they are so confidently backwards.

    4. The lesson germany learned from WW2 wasn’t „genocide is bad“ instead they learned „obey israel unconditionally“

Being on the wrong side of history seems to be a German national sport

„Germany blocks sanctions, they love genocide! We should hate them!“

      or

„Germany agrees to sanctions against Israel, they are clearly antisemitic again and just as bad as back then! We should hate them!“

The only two realities for people.

Actually most European countries are against sanctionining Israel but this sub are obsessed with Germany for some reason LOL.

    8. >Wadephul explained that Berlin did not believe restricting research funds would impact Israel’s military decisions. He pointed out that Germany had already limited the export of weapons that could be used in Gaza, and suggested that the EU focus on similar targeted actions instead.

    9. >The proposal sought to suspend Israel’s participation in the Horizon Europe research program, which funds start-ups in areas like drone technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

Oh, look, it’s some of those Palestinian extermination technologies.

Netanyahu majority is questionable currently, he only holds onto power with the extreme right and they are pushing things beyond reason. New settlements and war escalation

Netanyahu is literally charged by the international court. It shouldn’t be so hard to sanction and isolate them individually at least

Germany is dominating the political scene in Europe imo way to much. From Merkel to VdL on top of the EU. Tf ? They even installed their former mediocre agricultural minister as OHR in Bosnia.

    11. So many braindead people it’s insane. You want to separate Palestinians from Hamas but not Israeli people from their government, talk about a double standard.

I don’t like either but this stupid trend of supporting things people have no idea about is seriously sad. Palestinians were offered two state solutions and peace dozen times throughout the history and declined every single time.
On top of that, no neighbouring country wants to take in their citizens because they also consider them a liability. Palestinian army is also big enough to take on Hamas but also chooses not to.

Any way you look at this, the conflict is complicated and these countries should settle it on their own. We have our own issues and war literally on our borders which is as black-and-white as it gets and somehow people still care about this so much. If anything defeating Russia should be even higher priority as they are one of the Hamas allies.

Germany feels that it has a debt to pay back to Israel. In this case, the price is the blood of Palestinians. Once again Germany is complicit in a genocide. As if the Holocaust and Namibia weren’t enough.

    13. Am I blind or did OP seriously write Israel as lsrael (with a small l)?

This is a common trick used by antisem…sorry, „antizionists“ to sneakily deny the right of Israel to exist

@Mods I am too stupid to find a way to add a note to mt report in the FOSS Reddit app I used so I reported for „abusive content“. Please consider this comment when making a decision, thank you.

    14. Didn’t know much about German police beforehand, but I’ve been surprised just how thuggish their handling of the protests has been.

I’m sure some will say all cops are, but you’d struggle to find videos of police handling protests like that in lots of other countries.

And why then is this being framed as a „German“ action that is preventing European sanctions from going forward? Obviously Germany isn’t the only country who aren’t onboard with this idea…

Enabling Israel to commit genocide while calling Vladimir Putin a war criminal. And then the eurocrats wonder why nobody respects their hypocrisy

    17. CluelessExxpat on

World will remember EU’s hypocrisy. Full sanctions against Russia; tacid approval against Israel.

„Cradle of modern democracy and human rights“ my ass.

Up to their old tricks again. They just can’t pass up a good genocide
