Is this real? China copies SpaceX’s refined Raptor Engines

Who knows, I don’t trust anything that comes out of China until more objective observers have had a chance to weigh in.
There are numerous examples of China copying designs of products so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s true. That said I wouldn’t put too much stock in a random youtube video with AI audio.
There are two types of companies in the US. Those that have been hacked by China, and those that don’t know they’ve been hacked by China.
The Chinese reached orbit with a methane based rocket *before* SpaceX did, so I’m not seeing any theft here
The CCP steals and copies everything. *Everything.*
Yep they steal everything not bolted down, and then steal the ground around it anyway
Crap video.
What is different between them?
Oh yes, the Mammoth 1 is silver where the raptor is matte black!
Oh and the Mammoth 1 has this odd lever that the raptor doesnt.
Cmon, seriously?
Why not, copying an engine is not rocket *science*, just rocket *manufacturing.*
They do have a fair amount of experience copying and remanufacturing various types of foreign engines by now, plus local competence for Methalox based engines already existed in the country (Jiuzhou Yunjian (JZYJ) and LandSpace with their TQ-12 engines).
Didn’t find anything but this video in all the Internet about this engine.
Crazy how relatively easy it is to get up to speed with the competition if you just don’t have to give a toss about intellectual property protection.
Makes me wonder if we as a society could have progressed faster without these laws… it would cost some companies their monopolies and cause way more competition… might even help the economy in general.
The injectors are highly guarded and export controlled because they are the secret sauce of rocket engines and can be used in icbms. Someone is in big trouble if China got a hold of plans for the injectors.
[If reports are to be believed,](https://www.sohu.com/a/930698673_122328931) the only component of the Mammoth 1 thus far tested is the oxygen-side preburner injector. Regardless, far more than just the motor’s shape must be understood to build a similar rocket motor. And Raptors are perhaps the most advanced operational motors at the moment. „Starry Sky Technology“ has a long road ahead of them before they can make a competitive variant.
Its probably propaganda. Any youtube channel called „great spacex“ or „King SpaceX“ or „SpaceX the one and only rocket in the universe.“ Is just some clicksbait propaganda channel.
