    1. On what legal grounds is this allowed ? Is this a new rule in the „international rules order“ ?

    2. NeighbourNoNeighbor on

So America is now unilaterally policing international waters with their military by annihilating private ships – all while providing nothing but vague and half-assed claims of drug trafficking?

Even if they have irrefutable proof that the boat was bringing illegal drugs to America … this is a HUGELY aggressive overstep. Why even destroy the boat, if it supposedly had useful evidence on it? They could have easily captured it.

It really feels like America is desperately trying to start a new world war.

How was it determined that they were gang members heading to the US? Now any unmarked boat will be blown up like the ones used by people fleeing Cuba?

      11?

I remember back when we were laying waste to ISIS daily by the 100’s and this guy would only mention when it was a leader that got killed

These 11 random drug guys must be super important /s

    5. More Nobel peace prize actions from the greatest man of peace to ever have lived /s

I was born and currently reside in a coastal town in Colombia and they are just poor men who don’t know how to do anything other than sail, looking for an easy way out for themselves and their families, they are not part of the real business, they are disposable by the drug traffickers who are the very owners of what is sent, yes they deserve jail because they know what they are doing, but not a death sentence without any kind of trial, violating all human rights, they claim to be better than Russia and here they only demonstrate the opposite.

    7. That’s only if you believe him. Might’ve just been making an example with some poor Venezuelan fishermen

    8. Didn’t realise the US Navy was in the business of extrajudicial executions. Even if it was a 100% confirmed drug boat, it’s not the place of Trump to use the US military to impose death on them.

If Venezuela does not want to deal with their own drug gangs, that’s their problems. When they enter American waters or try to smuggle drugs into the US, then by all means deal with them. But going out of your way to kill them is a massive overstep of international norms.

International norms don’t consider drug gangs to be legal combatants, you can’t just say your at war with them and kill them like you would an enemy soldier. They are criminals and should be dealt with primarily by law enforcement, with lethal force a last resort.

Yes I know it’s Trump and Epstein files etc etc, but it still needs to be said

    9. Coast guard is pretty good at getting drugs. Why did we need to bomb the boat? This was just a show of force. Propaganda.

    10. In 2024 republicans kept saying to independents that we shouldn’t be the world police and we should only be concerned with what happens within our own borders, then the second he gets their vote we’re immediately involved with every international issue in the world and a few dozen more that we invented out of thin air

    11. How long until we find out the world’s largest military sunk a fishing boat full of innocents to make dear leader feel strong?

Now wait for the real headline:

I’m receiving reports that nobody has targeted the pedophile protecting, election stealing coup that has taken siege of the United States government

Haven’t like… 70% of the deported been accused of being tren de aragua with no proof?

Someone should check to see if those ships weren’t full of migrants he’s been deporting

This coming from the stupid motherfucker that thought Kilmar had MS 13 tattooed on his fingers. Don’t believe the hype.

    17. 1. Epstein files now

      2. I don’t trust this administration to even Google basic information, I HEAVILY doubt tren de aragua was actually involved

    18. Hellstorm901 on

The US president just used US troops to assassinate people after declaring that drug smuggling constitutes terrorism and also on TV has said he can deploy US troops to any part of the US he wants even if the Federal courts says he can’t in order to put down protests which he has also openly referred to as terrorism

If you are American you should be in fear right now as the US president in the span of 24 hours has just made it clear he can and likely will order murders if not full blown massacres across the US against his political opposition

US trying to start a war to divert attention from doing what that lying b*stard hammered on during his artificial campaign: RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES.

    20. Hefty-Field-9419 on

Drone boat …nobody on it… all a distraction while Republicans tariff you and hide the Epstein files.

    21. Yellowbug2001 on

My assumption, based on this administration’s track record in identifying members of violent gangs, is that the 11 people murdered on that ship included Gilligan, the Skipper, Thurston and and Lovey Howell, Ginger, the Professor, and Marianne.

    22. Could we try to maybe directly attack the cartels who traffic fentanyl DIRECTLY into the southern border – instead of using millions of dollars of ISR assets to blow up
      ONE go fast boat?

      Maybe?

Better yet – if you want to to make a bust, simply interdict the vessel on the ocean. Not like we don’t have that capability.

      It’s a publicity stunt.
