I don’t believe Mace was ever raped. She’s using her rape claim as a cudgel against others like E. Jean Carroll. In addition, she made a pretty outrageous claim on the House floor:

In general I think we should believe victims of sexual assault, but Nancy Mace’s claims of being a victim were super suspect when she made the accusation, and prosecutors never charged the men.
She abused her position in the House to make extremely graphic accusations against her former boyfriend and showed nude images of herself to the entire chamber against their will because she can’t legally be held responsible for anything she says on the floor of the House. Essentially the same tactic Marjorie Taylor Greene used when she showed Hunter Biden’s dick pics to the entire chamber.
It was political theater designed to muddy the waters for actual victims.
