      I reckon that these threats occur quite regularly but the public only gets to know about it if it’s politically advantageous

      Like during 2008 recession there MUST have been many, many threats of violence against the likes of Phil Hogan, Noonan, Brian Cowen and many more. Only Jobstown was really publicised and turned into a PR success story

      Throw the fucking book at her. Its high time we start treating these fascist cunts as the terrorists they are. They think theyre „Patriots“ but all they do is threaten anyone who disagrees with them while running cover for landlords, REITS and drug dealers

      The state of some of the comments in here are shameful. Not even just the ones blatantly saying it’s justified but also the others just nitpicking and questioning the threat enough thats it’s „deemed acceptable“

      No matter what a politician has done, you cannot threaten them, their wife, their kids.

      There has been an amplification of this type of shite in recent years and it’s terrible to see. Who the fuck would do this job if this starts getting more common?

      People have completely lost their sense of self and it’s embarrassing. COVID really wrecked something in our collective humanity. 

      You had folks choosing to let others die rather than get a vaccine or wear a mask. Then mix in the rise of people using faceless sites at the same time like TikTok and Twitter’s facism friendly rebrand to X, with people being more heartless than ever, and suddenly it’s like reality itself has shifted. 

      Now people think empathy is a weakness and they can say whatever they want without consequences as if real life is their TikTok feed, and instead of pushback, they actually get rewarded and celebrated for it (thanks Trump)

      I’m glad to see something done. Now keep this energy for all these gormless pricks please
