      >**U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro’s office** has run into almos…

      Just… Ew.

    2. People are on you, Dear Leader.

Increasingly, even Republicans can’t stomach your corruption.

    3. >U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro’s office has run into almost unheard of difficulties in obtaining grand jury indictments since Trump’s federal surge in D.C. began. Last week, prosecutors were forced to acknowledged they had tried three times to indict a woman for allegedly assaulting an FBI agent and been rejected all three times. A day later, WUSA9 reported a grand jury had refused to indict a D.C. man accused of assaulting a Customs and Border Protection officer by throwing a sandwich at him. Prosecutors have since charged both defendants with lesser misdemeanors.

This is awesome. ~~NY~~ DC grand juries doing the Lord’s work.

Edited to change NY to DC, because I am a numbskull

    4. It must be so frustrating. Grand juries have d been always been so easy to secure an indictment. Until now.

    5. >In a Facebook post on Aug. 6 in which she tagged the FBI, Jones wrote she was “willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea.” In an email sent Aug. 14, Jones allegedly wrote she was “available to kill this man” in apparent reference to Trump. According to a detention memo, the email was sent to “several military, pharmaceutical and governmental recipients.”

inb4 a ban for quoting the article but this is hilarious, woman is wild and the grand juries lately are really showing the regime how little the people give a fuck about them.

    6. Wasn’t it written somewhere about treating others the same way you want to be treated?  Trump has been threatening people constantly for a very long time.

How long until the Trump administration moves to eliminate grand juries?

    8. Horror-Layer-8178 on

Once Trump realizes they won’t be able to get juries to convict people they want to they will try for military tribunals

Guess the bar for prosecution is higher than we thought. Maybe someone can shed some light on the specific of the case

These are not serious people. Federal charges for throwing a sandwich??? Oh no, did he get mustard on his jacket??? Oh that must sting – LIFE IN PRISON.

Holy fucking shit. How goddamn incompetent are these attorneys if they suck this hard?
Also, good on these grand juries. These are clearly bullshit political prosecutions because as always, every gop accusation is a confession about themselves.

I rather enjoy the fact that they were forced to acknowledge that their cases keep failing. Good. I hope they keep. on. failing, too. Those people are trash and deserve, inherently, to lose.

The woman wanted to cut out his trachea. That’s obviously hyperbole. Have you seen his neck? It would take way to long to dissect all the way to his trachea.

    14. The funniest part about all of this is that grand jury indictments are infamously easy to obtain

In 1985 a judge in NY famously stated „a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich if asked to do so“

The public largely doesn’t care about Trump or his authoritarian police force getting their feelings hurt

Thousands of “Not my president” posters from the obama admin era are making a pouty face.

I mean isnt this just a straight up 1st amendment issue? The trump just trying to toe the line when they can round up people for not liking trump and calling it “making threats”

Edit: saw what she said. I live in a state where protestors went to the governors house and hung an effigy of him on a tree outside his home in full view of his family and nothing ever happened to them. (Over covid restrictions). So based on that precedent, no, she did nothing wrong either.

    16. He threatens us every day. If he doesnt get charged with a crime then why should she?

Hahaha that lady was ballsy, but also probably mental.

      >Jones, who previously worked as a pharmacist in Indiana, came to federal investigators’ attention in early August when she allegedly began posting threatening messages toward Trump online.

      >Jones’ posts drew a visit to her New York apartment by U.S. Secret Service agents, who questioned her but did not arrest her. Federal agents arrested Jones a day later after she traveled to D.C. to attend a protest.

      >A magistrate judge said she didn’t think Jones’ statements were hyperbole, but Boasberg disagreed. He said they appeared to be the “rantings” of someone with mental illness but no ability to actually carry them out. He also said USSS had apparently not been concerned enough to dissuade Jones from coming to D.C., even though she told them she planned to.

    18. This is what happens when you antagonize 700,000 people who already hate you.

    19. If any “threat” to trump is upheld and prosecuted then every single truck tailgate owner with Biden tied up stickers on them should also be. Included every social media poster doing the same. Whew that would be a lot of cases….

    20. You mean giving his motorcade the finger?

Remember when the little fascist got that woman fired over that?

We the people are sovereign. Don’t ignore your jury summons. We may be the last line of defense in preserving our democracy. Nullify if you must

    22. Watchtowerwilde on

just a reminder look up jury nullification just in case you get called up and want to know all your options including the ones they try to hide when they’re not being used to say get off white guys from running liquor or lynching people less than a century ago, it works for whatever the public decides not to enforce.

    23. The members of the Grand jury are secret to us, but the administration absolutely knows exactly who they are and anything else they want to know about them.

Every single member of the grand jury refusing to indict is brave as hell and have the courage of their convictions. I hope if I’m ever in the same position I’m as principled and brave as they are.

    24. Comfortable-Ad-3988 on

Starting to look like there’s going to be a whole lot of „Grand Jury refuses to indict“ headlines in the future, where there were almost none in the past. Isn’t there some quote out there about a ham sandwich being able to get a grand jury to indict?

    25. Just like trump’s first term. Very lopsided. Once again, no one is stopping him. This time, his crimes are much worse
