Great, now even more people will be able to pay for their Dominos Pizza in 4 monthly instalments!

      How well things are going!

    3. Should be forbidden. Whole company runs on people that do not now how to go about with money. If everyone paid on time they’d be out of business in no time. Capitalism at its finest.

    4. I’ve never understood all the hate they get.

You have 30 days to settle the invoice, they send you a reminder a week before the due date and you can move the due date. If the due date is passed without payment they send you a reminder giving you time to pay before they add a fee on top of the invoice amount.

Its not like its a surprise that invoices needs to be paid in time.

    5. I have nothing really to add to this other than you can Klarna on a credit card to basically have 2 layers of credit. Who thought that was a good idea?

    6. I wonder if this company will get crushed when a new “2008” kind of crisis arrives, considering its current business model is about taking advantage on people that usually need short term loans (1-6 months) for small amounts, so their market is a little bit biased into the kind of people that wouldn’t be able to afford what they are buying in the spot, or the banking system wouldn’t loan them the amount (at least at the same rate/conditions).

Also, IIRC, Klarna usually gets financing from the market issuing bonds and deposits at higher interest rates than the usual.

Seems like Klarna is just playing with fire.

    7. Idk whats the problem with klarna here, I just use it like PayPal. Pay, klarna charges my bank, done. I prefer it over the US counterpart.

The owners are trying to cash out, I guess. I haven’t head anything but bad fundamentals about them lately.

This company has a reputation for highly questionable business practices which have lead to consumer protection agencies issuing regular warning about this company ([example](https://help.orf.at/stories/3226860)). This so-called payment processor is regularly trying to get money for items which have not been delivered or returned. In general, little revenue is to be made in payment processing and i wouldn’t be surprised if this was the next Wirecard.

    10. people want to show off more than ever. bling is everything. forget personality, character, fuck that; but you own bmw m5? you must be great.

      klarna will do great.

    11. Another ipo in the States as opposed to here in Europe. What are we doing here?

    12. The people that reinvented credit cards are now trying to get bailed out by making an IPO lmaoo

I think savy folks will use it too. I’ve been eying an expensive coat. Klarna shows up. I ask my daughter if this is legit and she says yes.

I have the money to buy it but I’m thinking why part with my money and put it on my credit card? I can break it up into payments and psychologically not feel the burn. I love the idea and will use it. It alleviates the guilt of spending so much and if cost me nothing why not?

    14. So this is how they socialize the losses. That company is either gonna go bust because it cant keep up or shut down for some shady shit.

So their business plan relies on more and more people not being able to afford to pay for their stuff and then also hope they get into credit debt? I think Wallstreet will love it. Capitalism solution to skyrocketing cost of living. Just pay for your coffee 30 days from now or pay twenty cents a day instead! Economy is doing great guys, stock market is up!

From the data they’ve released, the default rate is low (pizza, burrito purchases not withstanding). But again, purchasing power limits are confounding
