I just got a ban on reddit overturned because of a comment mentioning Saudi’s influence in football. Was very bland comment with zero hate in it. Ban was for hate.
This is the new world we live in.
It’s just a technique to get people angry and distracted about nothing.
Some other examples of the UK police state (that we now live in) from my own experience (locally),
We have a local shop that sells American candy and vapes etc, it also sells bongs & the person that complained on Facebook about bongs being sold in a shop in a suburban area near a school received a visit from the Police!
A local stand up comedian with a YouTube comedy account was arrested for offending a local councillor (who has a trans daughter) he was made to sign a letter of apology by the police (the police actually wrote the apology letter)
A local teenager (I think he was 17 or 18) was sent to prison for posting a joke on twitter about the colour of a murdered girls hair!
We were called into sons high school as he had “sexually harassed” someone, (he’s was 14 at the time) he had in fact blown a kiss to his friend in a corridor which was witnessed by a female student who then made a complaint.
I could go on, but it’s almost a daily occurrence now.
UK is a dystopia. All political parties are as bad as each other. Karma is a bitch ain’t it.
Mentioning the police were armed is just to rile people up, all police at UK airports are armed, just because they were armed doesnt mean he was arrested at gun point.
Advocating for violence towards others is illegal, he advocated for violence towards others so he got arrested, questioned and bailed pending investigation. The CPS will now weigh up if they’re going to charge him or not. That’s the system in place.
Maybe if he doesn’t want to get arrested for „offensive X posts“ (inciting violence) he shouldn’t post things that incite violence 🤷🏼♂️
So where is the conspiracy? He broke the law, he got arrested for it.
It is a shame. One should absolutely be able to speak their mind. Very glad we have the first amendment … however one of those is a call for violence.
