Yeah no. I’m from New Zealand and yes it is a beautiful country. I wouldn’t say we’re all very happy here. Homelessness is through the roof for many people unfortunately, shootings, prices sky rocketing, no jobs

Are these statistics gathered and compiled by white people?

„Happiest countries in the world“ Thats the biggest subjective crock of crap I’ve heard.
How do they figure out happy? Sounds like a way to push an agenda. „See they are happy, you should do things their way“.
If you look at the state of cities in Europe, they are NOT happy-places. So these silly ideas hold no water. Being single IS important. That means they can’t figure out how to confide and trust in another human. They aren’t having kids – thus, don’t appreciate the value of sharing their values with another generation. Maybe they never put the time into figuring out real values for themselves. THAT does matter. Not learning to be an authentic useful human and figuring out good values for themselves, and then having kids to pass that onto — that is TRAGIC. They will NOT be happy when they are elderly.

I think this is meaningless unless you carefully review the methodology used to calculate ‚happy‘.

Israel? Happy country…..?

Finland being the happiest always tells me it’s an arbitrary measure of “happy” because you wouldn’t think they were happy if you look at their suicide rate.

Top 3 happiest countries in the world, all have the worst weather. You are not gonna convince me that dark, rainy days make people happy.

I can attest to nz definitely not being the 10th happiest country in the world. It’s been decades since I met a citizen happy with the country. Spoiler, I’ve never met a politician of nz, (who robs the taxpayer) and is thusly, happy.

Happiness index is entirely different from actual happiness. It’s more like an „are your needs met“ index. Which is satisfaction, not happiness.

Only 50% of the countries from the first list, made it onto the second. Not a strong enough correlation IMO

They’re happy cause they live in a geologic paradise and their governments actually care for them.
