I would say Kosovo, but they are more as a brother nation, rather than best friend.

I’d say Italy and Austria have shown through decades good will towards Albanians.

USA, Austria, Italy, Croatia have helped Albania the most so we can consider them friendly countries toward Albania. Kosovo is the same as us. Votra Jone (Our Hearth)…Worst enemies are our neighbours mainly Serbia, N.Macedonia, Greece and Montenegro. Though they keep the facade of ‘good neighbours’ but you still feel the thing when you visit them. The politics they use toward Albanians in general now and in the past have only been horrendous and I cannot even start to understand why the hate. Sometimes I feel sorry for them.

Historically for the albanian nation and for albanian people best friend is Italy 🇮🇹 sending help and offering alliances to fight against the otomans and helped the albanianpeople to escape from otomans, during 1920s- 1930s the Italian government at the time helped albania to modernize and to get close relationships with the westerners , helping to build Italian schools, universities, banks, oil companies, and fashion industry in albania. And of course in the 90s the Italian government helped the albanian refuge to find shelter until they are good. And plus during the Berlin Conference and Treaty of Versailles the Italians supported the idea of the independent nation for albanian people ( of course lately to get annexed by italians) . After the Italians the next real best friend for Albania is of course The United States of America 🇺🇸 because thanks to them Albania 🇦🇱 exists and has those territory. Plus USA helped a lot Kosovo 🇽🇰 saving them from tyranny of serbian military and serbian politics at the time and helped the albanian refuge from kosovo 🇽🇰. The next friends for Albania are France 🇫🇷 not to mention the old attempts of albanians who try to create secret alliance with france during Ali Pasha Tepelena against the otomans. And during ww1 French army builds a lots of important roads for transport in Southern Albania and opens schools and colleges in Korça and during 1920s and 1930s many students from albania goes to France for studying. And during communism France was one of those western countries that Albania has good relationships. And for the last best friend for Albania was Austria 🇦🇹. Because support the idea of independent nation for albanian people with their original territory like kosovo and South epirius.

The Worst enemy was the Otoman Empire and Turks 🇹🇷.they has so close to destroy the albanian culture, and language and our identity,otomans killed a lot of man and albanian children and intelectuals who were against them and they rules. Otomans didn’t invest nothing in albania, they didn’t build nothing here the only investment that otomans did here was only to destroy the albanian nation. Of course lately the otomans decided to not harm us bu letting us to create the great albanian pashallaks but at the end of 1800s ‚ they old nature come back and desidet to do again.

I hate the Ottoman Empire with all my heart, but if there was a war ongoing and Albania and Kosovo got invaded, the only countries I would except help from are those two.
