      So many lessons from this stunningly quick descent into authoritarianism. One to file away for future reference will be the rapid capitulation of corporations, the monied class and even institutions of higher learning as they just pivoted to a new reality. These are soulless people and institutions, they are not and never were allies, and such times reveal character. Perhaps surprising, there is little to be found.

      Could it be potentially to sever a tie that could put them in the crosshair of republicans? I won’t be the first person to defend Bill Gates, and I admit that I’ve done little research on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and could be duped by great PR, but it seems like the organization is genuinely committed to supporting humanitarian projects that won’t be walled-in by commerce; and being a target of MAGA could put that (and the money itself) in jeopardy.

      Remember how kurzgesagt used to inform on political theories and worker-friendly programs like UBI? That stopped after they recieved funding from the gates foundation. Instead we got videos like „what if we nuked the oceans“.

      Gates has never been a „good“ billionaire, he’s always been part of the ruling class.

      Democrats keep refusing to intervene on behalf of the working class, because they somehow believe that the monied class will freeze them out.

      Instead the monied interests have already left and everyone else is just pissed at them for fiddling while Rome burns.

      He has been known to have affiliataions with Epstein. Bill Gates had multiple meetings with Jeffrey Epstein between 2011 and 2014, including at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse and on his private jet. Gates has since expressed regret for the association, stating that he met with Epstein to discuss philanthropy and global health funding, which never materialized

      If anyone cares to read the article, The Gates foundation sent an internal email stating it is not investing through Aberell (sp), a non-profit, intermediary and administering grants directly to receipts. The rest is speculation. We can judge the truth of their statements by their actions in the future. But, there’s no need to jump to conclusions.

      Just remember, and this should shock no one, when put to the test, these oligarchs chose fascism. Their obscene wealth needs to be redistributed to the American public through confiscatory taxation. No more permitting these greedy cowards to hoard small-country GDP levels of wealth while perverting our political system to their own end through legalized bribery.

      Also, Gates is a friend of Epstein, and my opinion is that he is guilty as sin.

      It should be said that they’re cutting ties with this one single for-profit consulting firm. It would seem that it’s because they want to work more directly with the organizations they donate to, and still work with multiple other firms.

      This article is nothing more than slightly-elevated clickbait. There is an implication in the article that the Gates Foundation is withdrawing it’s association with Democrats. But in reality the Foundation is withdrawing is association with ALL intermediaries, not just the one mentioned in the article. The one in the article happens to have several Democrat organizations among its other clients, so the headline could be sensational.

      The Foundation announced a few months ago that they were winding up the foundation with the intention to disperse all/most of its funds by 2045. They are investing it directly into several causes, among them a new push for research of women’s health.

      Could Bill Gates be running scared from Democrats after being one all of his life? Possibly. But that’s a conclusion that takes some mental gymnastics and major leaps in logic to come to.
