Also habe ich gestern geheiratet und meine ganze Familie kam dafür aus dem Großbritannien.
Mein Vater hat heute Morgen einen relativ frühen Flug, was bedeutet, dass er plant, um 6.02 Uhr einen Zug zum Flughafen Frankfurt zu holen, damit er seinen Flug fangen kann.
DB hat das völlig abgesagt, und der nächste Zug, der kam, war bei 7,56
Er ist jetzt 2h spät und wird sicherlich seinen Flug verpassen.
Ich weiß auf der DB -Website, dass es einen Abschnitt über Passagierrechte gibt, aber er muss wahrscheinlich jetzt völlig neue Flüge buchen (er hat eine Verbindung, weil er in Großbritannien lebt), das in letzter Minute ein Vermögen kosten wird.

Kann jemand beraten, wie zum Teufel er als Nicht-German ohne DB-Konto usw. entschädigt werden kann?

He cannot, unless train and flight are on one ticket (which does exist).
He will get 50% of his train ticket back if he arrives >2 hours late (at the destination of his train ticket). 25% in case >1 hour.
And personal opinion: Even if I imagine a perfect train system, this would feel way too risky for me.
He can only get compensation for the delayed train (25% if more than 60min, 50% if more than 120min late)
DB does not have to and will not compensate other cost like missed flights, unless he booked Rail&Fly.
You will not get any compensation for the flight, that is just bad luck/you would have needed to plan differently.
For the train ride, you need to submit a paper form (at a train station or by mail) if you did not book vie their website and logged in. Feels purposely difficult? I think that’s just the idea…
