“If the audios are genuine, we are facing an unprecedented scandal. It would be the first time in Argentine history that an official has been recorded inside the Casa Rosada,” said Adorni in a post on social media.”

“The release of these audios, just ten days before the Buenos Aires Province election, confirms that everything that has been happening is part of a staged and orchestrated disinformation campaign, with the clear aim of destabilising the government and maliciously influencing the electoral process,” he said, making a thinly veiled reference to existing corruption allegations.

“The Milei government is already struggling to deal with a developing corruption scandal prompted by the release of damaging audio recordings believed to have been made by the former head of the ANDIS national disability agency, Diego Spagnuolo.”

It wasn’t that long ago when Argentian redditors were proudly telling the world to fuck off, that the world’s hesitancy towards Milei was misplaced, and that Milei is the change the country needed to fix everything.

No, the scandal is that someone thought the crap in Milei’s government is so bad that it was a good idea to record and release things to the public because they need to know. And what takes the cake is that the perp of the original scandal, Milei’s sister and CoS, is the one calling for unity after the fact, instead of resigning in disgrace and perhaps salvaging something for her brother/boss.

Argentina’s President Milei faces turmoil after leaked audio of his Chief-of-Staff Karina Milei sparks a corruption scandal.

While the clips call for unity and don’t mention bribes, they arrive amid broader allegations and are seen as part of a possible disinformation campaign, prompting calls for a formal investigation.

    5. My favorite part about this is that this is a perfect caricature of Libertarianism, they’re backstabbing each other because the only way someone could record that is if they attended these cabinet meetings and were part of the cabinet itself.

      Basically Libertarians eating each other.
