I am NO fan of Lukashenko, but he might be the only thing holding back Russia from annexing Belarus and absorbing their military, industrial base, and finance.
I do not support him, but it’s just a thought.

Ok this will make people believe that Serbs simp for Lukashenko
Reality is little bit different, probably government trying to make „authoritarians and iron hand rulers look cool“ among their majority old simpatisers. Also support and love for Russia and Belarussia is rapidly declining, but so is for EU tbh.
Younger people are almost all pro EU, or atleast not pro Russia.
His logo is „Make Serbia Great Again“ and he is promoting on state sponsored televisions to arrest students and protesters like they did in Belorussia.

Why the hell are they promoting Lukashenko in Serbia? Like, for real, what kind of purpose does it have? It’s like if there were banners promoting Macron in fucking Malta
Edit: not even Macron, probably someone even more random like the Portuguese prime minister.

There aren’t exactly *promoting* Lukashenko, they are wishing him a happy birthday, as it’s today. Srećan rođendan is written at the top in Serbian Cyrillic and means “happy birthday”. Still doesn’t make this whole billboard thing better.
