Basically every ICE agent is committing crimes in the field.
They hide their identity to avoid prosecution.
As they should. The get out of jail free cards that prosecutors hand out to law enforcement is absurd. They aren’t prosecuted criminally, immunity protects them civily, and it only emboldened them.
Prosecute. Remove their immunity. Sue.
Alternate title: „Democrats says they will hold accountable troops who commit crimes at Trump’s direction“.

What do other countries do with their terror squads when they claw the government back from a fascist dictatorship? It doesn’t seem like probation or a fine will be enough to discourage the fascists from doing this all over again.
Seems like there should be a more permanent solution to send a message to these folks that we’re sick of their crap. Some sort of trial with serious consequences.
Also make clear that everyone will be watching, keeping notes, and remembering who broke their oaths. And of course, learn from the weak points and reinforce it when the time comes again.
SCOTUS will nullify the charges by legitimizing the Nazi defense that „I was only following orders“.
That’s gonna put a huge backlog on the courts if they follow through with it, because following the order to deploy is itself a criminal act. It’s a decent step, too, and long past time to do.
Oh man, Democrats have such a good track record of not rolling over for authoritarians, I’m sure this isn’t a completely empty threat!

We swore an oath and we should be held accountable.
This is the sort of stand we need to see from State elected officials. Stand up to defend your State’s residents against Trump’s threats to our liberty or make way for those who will.

I want to see Democrats promising special trials to identify all ICE and military members who committed civil rights violations against those in America, citizens or otherwise.

National Guard units brought in to your state by order of a governor from another state is invading your state. If they are not under the direction of your elected governor than they are illegal.

This headline very much implies military and let’s not lump these mass hire federal employees with folks that have actually made the choice to serve. Ice agent job postings are all over my area.
