Die japanische Einwanderungsagentur hat ein neues Projektteam ins Leben gerufen, um zu untersuchen, wie das Land mit einem langfristigen Anstieg ausländischer Bewohner umgehen sollte.
Derzeit machen Ausländer weniger als 3 Prozent der japanischen Bevölkerung aus. Dieser Anteil könnte jedoch in den kommenden Jahrzehnten über 10 Prozent steigen, ein Niveau, das in vielen anderen fortgeschrittenen Volkswirtschaften zu sehen ist. Beamte bestimmen, ob Japan die Einwanderung beenden sollte, um die Gesellschaft zu vermeiden.
Das 30-köpfige Team, angeführt vom stellvertretenden Direktor der Einwanderungsdienstleistungsagentur, wird sich mit anderen Ministerien koordinieren. Justizminister Keisuke Suzuki sagte am Freitag, dass in vielen Ländern eine rasche Steigerung der Einwanderung politische Konflikte und soziale Aufteilung angeheizt habe. Japan, argumentierte er, müsse voraus planen.
In einem am selben Tag veröffentlichten Bericht wurde festgestellt, dass der in Ausland geborene Anteil, während der in Ausland um 2070 an den Top-10 Prozent prognostizierte Anteil prognostiziert wird, die Verschiebung eher auftreten könnte, wenn Japans Geburtsrate weiter sinkt. Der Bericht forderte die Regierung auf, über stückweise Korrekturen hinauszugehen und jetzt einen umfassenderen Ansatz zu verfolgen.
Die Überprüfung umfasst sieben Bereiche: Wirtschaftswachstum, Industriepolitik, Arbeit, Steuern und soziale Sicherheit, lokale Gemeinden, öffentliche Sicherheit und Einwanderungskontrolle. Beamte werden auch untersuchen, ob CAPS, die derzeit nur für bestimmte Visumkategorien gelten, wie z.

This minister of Justice mf Suzuki is the biggest crap of all time. Just look at his record for the last few months, I just lost all my faith in him.
There is a massive amount of labor shortages approaching. Amusing logic.
They should control the amounts but not because of a xenophobic wave makes them want to do something.
I never understand how a country with a severe labour shortage can limit work visas. Will companies be fighting over these visa’s to get their application in first?
Plus if they remove the highly skilled professional visa workers from the route of PR then they’re really gonna struggle to attract talent or for anyone to fill those positions because the requirements are already quite high in regard to having a degree, knowing japanese, and being fairly skilled and experienced all for low pay. No one is gonna accept that just to feel they may be on edge of losing their life if they’re been there 10 years because then what’s the point of putting in all the effort. It already takes 10 years for most people which is much more strict then most countries.
I think that would be different if they were an English speaker country or paid well because they’d have a massive pool of talent so people would be happy to come and go or have a UAE type system. Personally I don’t wanna work in a country for 30 years for low pay and not get to retire there.
But I understand immigration becomes an issue when it’s long term and future generations become more and more attached to Japanese history. People don’t like that because it signals change because you have to accept even though they may not look Japanese because that’s the only thing they know. Plus allowing immigrants to stay will allow mean they will add to the aging population so it’s definitely a difficult situation to address.
Also if you don’t let immigrants stay, they will also never integrate because those roles will always be replaced by another immigrant new to the country.
