      I really fail to see how a woman on her hands and knees, dressed pretty, and being held by her hair by a man while smiling and appearing sexy on an album literally called “Man’s Best Friend” (aka, she’s a dog) is empowering. I strongly dislike choice feminism.

      I think it was hugely misinterpreted as glorifying abuse or something. It was always clear to me she was in a CONSENSUAL submissive situation.

      As always context matters and I think if you know anything about Sabrina, it’s seems pretty clear that she’s very in control. Like more in control than what we’ve seen with pop stars before. I’d say the same about Gaga, and Madonna. So anything she’s doing is coming from a place of power. And I can get down with that.

      Pretty tame album cover. It’s not girl next door that people are probably expecting from her but in the realm of music covers, it’s not even a blip on the radar.

      Also just occurred to me – excellent chance she paid a PR team to create this controversy and everyone is buying into it. She is getting millions In free advertising for her album right now.

      It’s just possible, just maybe, that folks are a little more sensitive to sexism in the United States since women in that country no longer have medical control of their bodies and are kinda waiting to be told they can’t vote anymore either…

      It hit easier I think when women still had rights.

      Part of it is many people saw her as a girl on Disney channel. Many former Disney stars go through the same thing when they enter adulthood as a celeb
