I remember not seeing Lightyear until long after it had been released. I’d heard some hubbub about the queer agenda but as a queer, I shrugged and thought nothing of it because, well, happens all the time. When I finally watched it, I couldn’t figure out what the big hubbub was. Still can’t. To demonstrate a healthy, relationship regardless of the genders is to show love. Didn’t ever think Snoop Dogg would be the kind to take issue with that.
I still remember him on stage yelling shit threatening the East coast inflaming the war between the two coasts right after Tupac got shot and before Biggie Smalls gets killed. He was one deadly mf. But in the 2010s he became Snoop Lion and then turned Rastafari, who are openly homophobic, so it doesn’t surprise me.
