      Am I the only one here who’s confused about the title? It sounds like the woman had to pay 3k and not that she was paid. In the first sentence of the article they write *was paid*, but what’s going on with the title?
      Can any native speaker explain?

      wha- I was beaten up by the police and sectioned for a day under completely made up claims that I had attacked them and said I wanted to commit su1cide, and got told to shut up and go away basically when I complained

      and now people get payed 3500 for being laughed at????? where fairness?
