This is the first time I’m hearing about a live-action Aristocats remake.
I hope it wasn’t gonna be like CATS (release the Butthole Cut)
He was the best choice to direct any one of these live action remakes. His documentaries are incredible and he’s a phenomenal musician.
If anyone can actually make the film more interesting it’s someone who understands music.
The Lion King remake has zero interest in even delivering the music sequences with any whimsy or innovation. They take several steps back from the cartoon. Questlove wouldn’t be doing that shit. He deserves to direct a musical original instead, not be kicked to the kerb
Learning Questlove of all people was directing, I’m surprisingly a little disappointed it’s shelved. Love his work.
By live action, they mean „we would create unholy CGI cats that looks like shit“.
