As a Muslim, I say that anyone who complains about „sexual content“ without questioning the societal encouragement of promiscuity and such writ large is either naïve or hypocritical. It’s genuinely disturbing that the people who say they’re defending the traditional family don’t seem to give a damn about dating and extramarital ‚intimacy‘.

There’s not a debate going on that I’m aware of. There’s a few low-information voters who are convinced that kindergartners are learning BDSM and then there’s people with their heads on straight.

OP, Are you a professor of children’s literature?
I am completely adverse to any form of censorship – where adults are concerned.
The books in question are not banned. They are available for purchase in bookstores and free in public libraries. Parents who wish their children to have the material can get it for them.
They have been removed from school libraries where children can access them unsupervised.
